Pressure hose for windscreen washer, fits Type 4 Squareback
From August 1967 the pressure for the windscreen washer was taken from the spare wheel. So you only had pressure if there was enough air on the spare wheel. By each operation of the washer the spare wheel loses some pressure. So it is better to check the pressure from time to time. Otherwise you will be left with a flat spare wheel in case of a breakdown. According to Volkswagen's operating instructions, the spare wheel should be pressurized to approx. 3 bar.
